Rationale
for past life work
Healing in the present moment involves resolving unfinished business
of the past, which continues to influence a person in the present moment.
We do not live in the past or in the future. We have memory of
the past and an expectation for the future, the ever-present moment of NOW is all that we have. However, residual mental,
emotional, physical and spiritual energy of past events taint our present experience. It is the aim of Past Life Regression
Therapy to resolve or remove these problematic energies, so that a person can live, more fully, in the present.
The mind
Our five senses perceive the environment. The mind evaluates this
environmental stimulus for any real or imagined threat to survival. The subconscious mind records all such perceptions and
interpretations of the stimuli. The mind then compares these evaluations with history of similar circumstances, in order to
make a judgment regarding present safety and to determine an action plan. Thus, a present action is often a reaction to an
earlier similar circumstance.
This constant processing of perception, interpretation, comparison,
judgment and reaction occurs just below conscious awareness. The mind is always on the look out. This also means that the
past is always present; interfering with the present.
Scars on the human body reveal physical trauma from the past.
They are healed areas on the body where tissue was damaged and functionality may have been impaired, though there may not
be an experience of pain any more.
Similarly, the mind also sustains trauma resulting in distortions,
changes and scars. These mental scars manifest through a person’s attitudes, behaviors, defenses, phobias and reactions
of anger, fear or distrust.
Memory of the traumatic episode is often deeply buried in the
recesses of the subconscious mind. Sigmund Freud pioneered talk therapy with the goal of bringing the unconscious into
the conscious. He believed that reliving is relieving; recalling a traumatic
episode is the first step in healing the pain. He developed techniques in an attempt locate the cause of traumatic memories.
Modern Hypnotherapy allows access to these deeper levels of the mind; the conscious, preconscious, unconscious and the superconscious.
Karma
Often physical disease, disfigurement and accidents stem from
karmic balancing or perpetuating of the results of traumatic events in prior lives. The subconscious mind retains memory
of everything that has ever been experienced by the being. This includes present lifetime, prior lifetimes, potential future
lifetimes, the non-physical realms between incarnations and the separating fromm the Source.
The past
life regression process
Using hypnosis as a vehicle, the therapist’s aim is to journey into the mind and reveal the truth.
Professional training religious or personal values do not interfere with the exploration of the individual reality of the
client. The therapist is a guide; the client is a companion, in search of truth of the presenting problem, found only in the
inner wisdom and memory bank of the client. Each session is a spiritual journey. The objective is clear but the path is unpredictable.
